Cuttlebug Embossing Folders

Cuttlebug machines and Cuttlebug embossing folders and dies are some of the best tools you can add to your scrapbooking and crafts toolbox.  Like many of the other products by Provocraft (the makers of the Cricut scrapbooking system), the Cuttlebug gives you the ability to express your creativity in brand new ways.

The main feature of the Cuttlebug system is the ability to do professional grade embossing on your own paper (and other thin materials).  You can emboss borders around a picture, holiday scenes and items for your holiday pages, and even Disney themed designs to comemorate your vacation!

The other great feature of the Cuttlebug system is the dies, and combo dies.  These will allow you to both emboss and die cut a design at the same time.  This can be great for cut-outs used in everything from scrapbook pages to fun place settings for a dinner.

The Cuttlebug’s usefulness does not stop at scrapbook pages.  You can make some incredible christmas cards, birthday cards, name tags,  holiday decorations, and many other creative things.

One thing to keep in mind is that your creativity doesn’t have to stop with paper.  According to Provocraft, you can use  cork, thin metal, thin wood, thin fabrics, thin felt, cardstock, Bazzill, poster board, chipboard, and fun foam just to name a few. The rule of thumb is to not cut anything that is thicker than the white foam on the Cuttlebug die.  Almost anything, as long as the height of your cutting materials does not exceed 1/8 inch.
